
Srinagar, November 24: In a major development Former India star cricketer Suresh Raina has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with J&K Sports Council for the development of cricket in J&K.
This was revealed by Suresh Raina himself on his official Twitter handle.
“Extremely delighted to sign the MoU with J&K Sports Council for training budding cricketers across the Union Territory. In presence of J&K Lt. Governor @manojsinha_, Chief Secretary BVR Subramaniam and Principal Secretary to LG @nitishwarKumar. Great beginnings & things ahead, ” Raina Tweeted.
Raina after missing this year’s IPL has been regularly visiting J&K and meeting the top Goverment and J&K Police Officials.
Meanwhile J&K cricket team mentor and Raina former teammate Irfan Pathan has also hailed the initiative.
“Well done brother. Talent is there in JK but they need to more and more solid platforms to perform , ” Irfan Pathan Tweeted.
