Super 24: Hajin XI crowned as champions of the tournament

Panjipora Sopore, April 28: In the Grand Finale of the Super 24 Knockout Cricket Tournament Panjipora, Hajin XI emerged as champions by defeating host Panjipora Cricket Academy by a margin of 18 runs.

Batting first, Hajin posted a competitive total of 161/7 on board in alloted 20 overs. Waseem was the top scorer with 33 runs while as Naveed added 29 runs to his name. For Panjipora, Sofi bagged 4 wickets while as Tanveer also took a brace.

In reply, Panjipora Academy fought hard but eventually fell short of the target by 18 runs (143/8 in 20 overs). Danish was the lone warrior for Panjipora as he played a fine knock of unbeaten 60 runs. M Ashraf and Aabid took 4 and 3 wickets respectively for Hajin XI.

Aabid was declared as player of the match for his brilliant all-round perfomance of 25 runs with bat and 3 wickets with ball.

Waseem Akram walked away with the player of the tournament award for his brilliant all-round perfomance throughout the tournament.
