Summer Smash Cup: Amir Aziz’s fifer in vain as YSCC beat Syed Kamal-ud-Din

In the ongoing Summer Smash Cup, YSCC Putushy defeated Syed Kamal U Din Khayar in a nail-biting encounter by just 8 runs to enter next round.

Batting first, YSCC posted a moderate total of 143/6 on board in allotted 20 overs. Altaf played an unbeaten knock of 67 runs while as Bilal Junior added valuable 30 runs to his name. Amir Aziz was the wrecker-in-chief for team Khayar as he bagged a 5-wicket-haul.

In response, Khayar fought hard with the bat but eventually felt short of the target by just 8 runs(135/10 in 18 overs). Firdous and Irfan scored 35 and 20 runs respectively. Bilal took 3 while as Umar and Azaad bagged 2 wickets each for YSCC.

Bilal Junior was declared as player of the match for his all-round performance.
