Srinagar: The District Srinagar Pencak Silat martial art championship started at Polo Ground Indoor Hall, Srinagar, J&K on Saturday.
The 2 day event is being organised by District Srinagar Pencak Silat Association in collaboration with Pencak Silat Association of J&K under the aegis of J&K Sports Council.
Manager/incharge sports stadium Polo ground Indoor Sports Complex, M Iqbal was chief guest on the opening ceremony and office bearers of the state and district association were also witnessed the inauguration ceremony.
More than 790 players from different Schools, clubs are participating in this 2 day long District Championship.
The winners of this district event will be shortlisted for the forthcoming State and National level championships held in next few months.
