Srinagar: The star pacer of Pakistan cricket who was recently named ICC Cricketer of the Year Shaheen Afridi was asked if he also wants to be among the fastest bowlers like Umran Malik and Lockie Ferguson.
Umran Malik and Lockie Ferguson bowled some of the fastest deliveries during the recently concluded 2022-edition of the Indian Premier League 2022.
Particularly it was Umran Malik who has become the talk of the town as he impressed one and all with his raw pace.

As per reports Shaheen during a press conference was asked whether he wants to bowl as fast as Umran Malik. Afridi responded by saying he is more focused on swinging the ball than speed.
“Speed se kuch nahi hota (speed is of no use). I haven’t thought about bowling so fast. I personally believe speed is of no use. If you don’t have line, length and swing, you can’t beat the batter easily. Nevertheless, I try to focus on my fitness so that my pace can also increase. Hopefully, I will be able to generate more pace and my line and length will also get better,” Shaheen Afridi said.
