Baramulla, August 06: Asad CC Sopore and Mariya Goushbugh Friday posted victories in the ongoing 17th SNW Memorial Cricket Trophy at Chanderhama.
In first match, Sahara Magam posted a below-par total of 113 runs against Asad CC. Muzamil (29) remained the highest run-getter whil Idrees Mushtaq picked 3 wickets.
In reply, Asad CC Sopore chased the total in 15.4 overs with Asif (35) topping the batting charts. Idress was named man of the match for his bowling performance.
In the second match, Mariya Goushbugh posted 120 runs on board against CRK Mirgund. Muneer top-scored with 39 runs.
Mirgund couldn’t chase down the total, thanks to some terrific bowling by Mariya CC. Hisar picked 4 wickets, helping his team win the match by 20 runs. Shafi Maglu was the only batter to show some resistance, scoring 38.
Hisar, for his 4 wickets, won the man of the match award.
