Rasikh Salam bowled a dream spell of 4-0-31-6 against Chattisgarh to hand J&K a 36-run win in the ongoing Syed Mushtaq Ali Tropny on Friday.
Earlier, batting first J&K put on a big total of 185 runs on board. Captain Shubham Khajuria top-scored with 73 off 46 to his name. Opener Qamran Iqbal also struck a quick fifty (50 off 24).
In reply, Chattisgarh started off badly, thanks to some splendid bowling by Rasikh Salam and Yudhvir Singh.
Shashank Singh brought them back into the game with a knock of 58 (41). However, Rasikh Salam in his second spell took four more wickets to end with a 6-wicket-haul as Chattisgarh was bowled out on 150 runs.
Vivrant Sharma also picked up a couple of wickets while Yudhvir Singh and Umran Malik ran away with a solitary wicket each.
After losing the first four matches, J&K won the last three to end the tournament in 6th place in Group A with 12 points under their belt.
