Raipur, November 4: The Ranji Trophy 2025-26 Group D encounter between Jammu and Kashmir (J&K) and Chhattisgarh at the Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh International Stadium, Raipur, ended in a draw, with Chhattisgarh claiming three points by virtue of a first-innings lead, while J&K took home just one point.
Batting first, Jammu and Kashmir posted 394 in their first innings, led by a magnificent 190-run knock from Shubham Khajuria, who smashed 30 fours and 2 sixes in a marathon innings. Paras Dogra contributed 59 runs, and Kanhaiya Wadhwan added 42 valuable runs.
For Chhattisgarh, pacer Ravi Kiran was the standout performer with a stunning 7-wicket haul, ripping through J&K’s batting order.
In response, Chhattisgarh piled up 505/9 (decl.) in 168.2 overs, thanks to a solid batting effort from the middle order. Amandeep Khare top-scored with a classy 156, while Ashutosh Singh (90), Aditya Sarwate (79), and Arafat Khan (49) ensured their team secured a vital first-innings advantage.
J&K used as many as nine bowlers, but they struggled to make inroads. Vanshaj Sharma picked up three wickets, while Auqib Nabi and Umar Nazir claimed two apiece, and Qamran Iqbal chipped in with one.
With time running out, both teams settled for a draw, but the first-innings lead helped Chhattisgarh pocket three points, while Jammu & Kashmir earned a solitary point.
