The experienced middle order batsman Shoaib Malik will rejoin rest of Pakistan cricket team squad in England on Thursday.
A PCB statement on its official twitter said that Shoaib Malik will rejoin the Pakistan cricket team in Southampton on Thursday and will be available for selection for the second One-Day International against England to be played on Saturday, May 11.
Earlier personal reasons had forced Malik to leave Pakistan squad midway and were granted 10 day leave.
Malik’s 10-day absence meant that he missed the tour opening one-off T20I against England on 5th May and the first of the five ODIs against the hosts on May 8th. Malik might return only before the second ODI at Southampton on May 11.
“The Pakistan cricket team management has given leave to Shoaib Malik so that he can return home to deal with a personal issue. He is expected to rejoin the team in 10 days’ time,” the Pakistan Cricket Board statement at that time said.
