Srinagar: Pakistan star pacer Shaheen Afridi has hailed wicketkeeper batter Mohammad Rizwan for completing 3000 runs in T20I cricket and termed him ‘Bradman of T20 Cricket’.
Rizwan became the fastest batter to score 3000 runs in T20Is, going past India’s Virat Kohli and Babar Azam.
Rizwan reached the landmark in 79 innings while the other had made as many runs in 81 innings.
Shaheen congratulated Rizwan for his record-breaking display and be an inspiration for many.
“Cheers to Muhammad Rizwan – the Bradman of T20 cricket and Pakistan’s SuperMan for hitting 3,000 T20I runs,” Shaheen posted on X.
“Your impact has transformed the game and silenced the sceptics. Keep soaring, champion! You’re an inspiration to many,” he added.
Meanwhile, Shaheen hosted a celebratory party in honour of Rizwan for which the latter is thankful.
“Huge thanks to Shaheen Shah Afridi for orchestrating another fantastic celebration for me and for bringing the stars of the Pakistan team together,” Rizwan posted.
“Grateful to all my teammates and our incredible fans for their unwavering support,” he added by mentioning that his and Babar Azam’s records are the same.
