‘Shah misleading on Ranji Pullout, lack of signatories real reason’

Dr Farooq Abdullah faction of J&K Cricket Association (JKCA) on Monday claimed that JKCA ruling faction has enough money and it is non-availability of signatories that is hampering the fund withdrawal.ranji

“They don’t have three required signatories to sign cheques  and release money as out of three signatories two are ineligible according to Lodha Committee guidelines. President, Treasurer have been made ineligible by Supreme Court decision while as only one General Secretary is eligible,” said Dr Farooq Abdullah faction official Saleem Khan.

“They have money but Court, BCCI will release money only after  fresh  elections  are held. They are creating a notion that everything is right in JKCA but that is not the case. Lodha panel had ruled current body elections null and void followed by Supreme Court ruling making President and Treasurer ineligible. When out of three signatories only one is available how can they withdraw the money,” Khan said.

“They are now trying to divert money in provincial wings through BCCI but even for that they need to get money into main account first. As signatories are not available money remains frozen. It can only be released only when new elections would be held under BCCI observation,” he said. (Courtesy Greater Kashmir)
