Real Kashmir suffer 1-2 defeat against East Bengal, out of title race

Real Kashmir suffered 1-2 defeat against Kolkatta giants East Bengal in the match of the I-League at JLN Stadium Delhi on Thursday, February 28-2019.

With this defeat Real Kashmir has suffered big blow as they are now out of title race while as East Bengal remained in the hunt for the I-League.

First half goals from Enrique Esqueda and Jaime Santos was enough to guarantee three points for East Bengal, which took the Red and Golds to 36 points from 18 matches.

The defeat ended league debutant Real Kashmir’s title ambitions, as it now has 33 points from 18 matches while Chennai City FC leads the table with 40 points in as many matches.

Kashmir’s Adednego Tetteh was given a straight red in the 38th minute after he swung his arm across the face of Johnny Acosta. It was first defeat after 12 match unbeaten run for Kashmir based side.
