Real Kashmir FC to clash with Sreenidi Deccan FC in todays I-League showdown

Srinagar Dec 07: Real Kashmir Football Club (RKFC) is set to face Sreenidi Deccan FC (SDFC) in an upcoming I League match scheduled for Thursday (December 07) at TRC ground Srinagar.

SDFC currently holds the 2nd position with 16 points, while Real Kashmir FC follows closely with 13 points.

Addressing a pre-match press conference RKFC head coach Ishfaq Ahmad said SDFC has been playing good football over the last two seasons.

“Thursday’s game will be a challenging one. Our boys know that. We will put our best and are hopeful of positive results,” Ishfaq said.

The RKFC head coach said Kashmir has great talent.

“Our local boys have great talent and play good football in the I league. RKFC has been providing a platform to the local talent. Kashmir’s players are not lesser than anybody else and can compete against any team,” he said.

RKFC player Maksood Ahmad, a native of Lebanon, said he came to India and has been playing for RKFC in this season. “The situation is really good here. We are working hard to reach the top of I League,” he added.

Real Kashmir is on third spot on the points table with 13 points from seven matches.

SDFC head coach Carlos Vaz Pinto said RKFC has a good team and it will be difficult to play Thursday’s match.

“It will be a tough match and we are hopeful of a good result. However, pressure is more on RKFC since their previous home match ended with a goalless draw,” Pinto said.

SDFC player Ibrahim Sissoko also addressed the media and said it will be a tough fight on Thursday.
