Jammu, February 23: Fans on Sunday looked quite angry with J&K’s wicket-keeper Fazil Rashid, asking what he is doing in the team as he continued his miserable form in the ongoing Ranji Trophy quarter-final between J&K and Karnataka at Jammu.
The stumper first leaked a few bye-fours behind the stumps while also couldn’t make a mark with the bat.
“I don’t understand what is Fazil Rashid doing in the team. He hasn’t performed throughout the season and performed quite poorly in this match as well.” An agry Irshad Ahmad, a fan said.
Fazil has just scored one half-century in 15 innings of Ranji Trophy this season apart from a not-so-decent performance behind the stumps. Anguished by his stats, fans questioned the team management.
“If Fazil hasn’t done well in full season, why is he still in team? Is it because of captain, coach and mentor are baking him? Do we not have any other keeper in whole J&K.” Kuldeep, another fan asked.
