Ranji Trophy: J&K v/s Kerala- Only 7 over play possible on day 2

 

Only seven overs of play was possible to be played on the second day of the Ranji trophy tournament match between J&K and Kerala due to bad weather at Kolkatta on Friday.

Starting play on overnight total of 263 for seven wickets, Kerala could add only 19 runs to the total as rain made its intervention.

It was after only seven overs of the days play were bowled that rain intervened. Umpires after two inspections at 2:30 and 3:30 pm, decided to call off the play. At the end of second days play, Kerala were on 282 runs for the loss of seven wickets with Samson not out on 143 and Mannu on 12. For J&K, Sami ul Lah has taken four wickets while as Ram Dayal two.

Third day’s play would be crucial for the fate of the match for both teams. While Kerala would like to post as many runs as possible. J&K would be hoping to wrap up inning quickly.
