Ranji Trophy: Analysing,Predicting J&K’s playing XI for first match against Rajasthan

J&K will kickstart their Ranji Trophy campaign tomorrow against Rajasthan at Sawai Man Singh Stadium. J&K had a healthy practice session today and are quite ready to make it count in the first match. Team got a few days to plan and sort out different things, which surely will help.Jk ranji Trophy 1m,o

So, let’s predict their ideal playing XI for the match. J&K would like to start with their regular openers viz Shubham Khajuria and Ahmad Banday, the duo has been around for a long time and they have to give team a good start, to ensure their better show in the match.

I think, Obaid Haroon shall be played at number three. He has been picked to strengthen the batting, so this spot suits him the best. Meanwhile, Shubham Pundir/Paras Sharma will miss out if J&K plays Obaid.

Ian Dev Singh and Parvez Rasool will stick to their positions at number 4 and 5 respectively. Owais Shah, who impressed last season, deserves the place in first XI and he will play at 6 while all-rounder, Irfan Pathan at 7. Though, if Shubham or Paras plays, Owais might have to suffer, with Fazil getting in as wicket-keeper. Moving towards bowlers, both spinners Waseem Raza and Amir Aziz might play the first as the wicket at SMS Stadium mostly remains unsupportive for seamers. Mohammad Mudhasir and Umar Nazir are the two fast bowlers, J&K should opt for, both have done well in the recent past. So the playing XI sums up as: Shubham Khajuria, Ahmad Banday, Obaid Haroon (WK), Ian Singh, Parvez Rasool (C), Owais Shah, Irfan Pathan, Waseem Raza, Mohammad Mudhasir, Umar Nazir
