Srinagar, December 11: J&K’s Ram Dayal and Umar Nazir on Saturday amassed the second highest last-wicket partnership in List-A cricket as the duo put on 109-run stand for the tenth wicket in Vijay Hazare Trophy against Andhra Pradesh.
Ram, who walked to bat at number 7, scored a fiery hundred (116* (110), ensuring Andhra doesn’t enforce a collapse. He was well-supported by number 11, Umar Nazir, who made good-looking 27 runs off 44 balls. Their partnership took J&K to a fighting total of 208 runs.
The stand also made it to record books, becoming the second highest partnership for the tenth wicket in Vijay Hazare Trophy as well as in overall List-A cricket. Hyderabad duo Ashish Reddy and Riv Kiran’s 128-run stand against Kerala in 2014 holds the record for the highest-ever last-wicket stand in List-A cricket, as per statistician Kausthub Gudipati.
