Srinagar: Rajat Charak has bagged silver medal in the Sanda World cup at Jiangyin (China) for J&K and India.
He secured Silver medal in the under 85kg in the men section, he lost to Australia in the finals. Rajat Singh charak qualified for the event on the basis of winning silver medal in the 10th Asian Wushu championship at Macai China in 2024.
He has also qualified for the Asia cup scheduled to be in Jiangyin china from 2-8th July 2025. Rajat is working in Indian Army and is posted in Shillong. Rajat has won number of medals at the National championships.
The Wushu Association of J&K congratulated Rajat Singh for making the Country and the UT J&K proud by winning Silver medal in the World Cup. He was given warm accord of welcome today by the president Vijay Saraf and Dronacharya Awardee Kuldeep Handoo at Jammu. Vijay Saraf congratulated him & wished him the best wishes for the forthcoming Asia cup at China in the Month of July.
Kuldeep Handoo (National Chief Coach and Dronacharya Awardee also congratulated him for the outstanding performance in the championship and wished him the luck for winning first ever gold medal in the forthcoming Asia cup at China. Rashid Ahmed International fencer was also present on the occasion.
