PM Narendra Modi hails Sunil Chhetri after FIFA releases series on India captain

Srinagar: Prime Minister Narendra Modi has hailed Indian Football team captain and star striker Sunil Chhetri after Fifa released a three part series on Indian captain.

“Well done Sunil Chhetri! This will certainly boost football’s popularity in India. @chetrisunil11 ,” PM Tweeted on Wednesday.

Earlier FIFA through its Tweet announced that the three episodes are available on FIFA+, its streaming platform.

“You know all about Ronaldo and Messi, now get the definitive story of the third highest scoring active men’s international.

Sunil Chhetri | Captain Fantastic is available on FIFA+ now “, FIFA Tweet read.

A three-episode series released by FIFA on the life and career of Indian football team captain Sunil Chhetri is in recognition of his achievements and goal-scoring exploits. FIFA announced that the three episodes are available on FIFA+, its streaming platform.

Chhetri made his India debut in 2005 and since then has played in 131 matches, including the one against Vietnam on Tuesday.
