The only International cricketer from J&K, Parvez Rasool registered multiple milestones in the ongoing Ranji trophy match against Services at New Delhi.
After having registered his career best first class cricket bowling figures of 8/85 on Thursday, Parvez went onto go into record books by scoring a ton. He became fourth ever Indian cricketer to have eight wickets in an inning and century in Ranji trophy match. He is also second cricketer from J&K to do that after Rajnish Pandit.
During scoring his 10th first class cricket century, Parvez also completed 4000 runs in first class cricket. He already has 2000 plus first class cricket wickets to his credit.
His all-round heroics with bat and ball has given J&K a glimmer of hope. They need five wickets on final day to win against Services while as hosts need 38 runs. J&K after being bundled out for 95 runs in first inning was brought back into game by Parvez who took eight wickets in an inning. Then he went on to score 115 run knock while all other batsman failed. Services are five wickets down already in second inning in chase of 104 run target. Parvez has claimed another two wickets to take his tally to 10 wickets in match.
