Srinagar, March 7: In the ongoing 26th Annual Football Championship 2020-21 two pre quarter final matches were played today the 7th of March 2021 at GGM Science College Ground.
The first match played between Param FC & Pt.P.N.Dogra FC proved to be an exciting and a thrilling match and received great appreciation from the spectators for the ball control dribbling and man to man marking. In the first half of the match Param FC scored via a penalty kick and virtually dominated the first half. PT P.N Dogra FC struggled hard to equalize and succeed in converting a penalty kick and leveling the score. It was towards the die movements of the 2and Half that Param FC once again converted a penalty kick this the first match was won by Param FC by two goals to One.
The 2nd match was played between Vijay FC & DFA Samba XI. Both the teams exhibited quality Football. In the 35th minute of the Ist half Vijay Club scored the Ist goal through a splendid header. Samba bous tried hard to equalize but failed to find the net. Vijay Club maintained the lead till the final whistle was blown and won the match by a solitary goal. The performance of the DFA Samba XI was extraordinary during the tournament and were applauded by the spectators.
Sheikh Memood (IPS) Rtd. SSP was the chief guest on the occasion and was introduced to the players.
