Noor Din Memorial: KCC Kupwara beat Star Palhallan, book place in semi’s

Srinagar, October 28: KCC Kupwara booked it’s place in semifinal of the Noor Din Memorial Cup Palhallan cricket tournament, defeating Stra Plahallan by 29 runs in the quaterfinal played on Wednesday.

Earlier KCC Kupwara won the toss and decided to bat first. Batting first KCC Kupwara set a huge total of 193 runs for the loss of 7 wickets alloted 20 overs on board.

Zakir scored quick 40 runs while as Zahoor contributed 39 runs and Junaid added 32 runs.

Tahir took 2 wickets for Star Palhallan while as Asim Bashir, KP Umar and Bilal took one wickets each.

In reply Star Palhallan failed to chase the said target of 194 runs.
Star Palhallan didn’t got off to a good start as they lost four wickets cheaply on the score of 60. Kifayat played fiery inning remained top scorer of 48 runs while as Asim Bashir added 18 runs and Muneer chipped 17 runs. Abrar took 3 wickets while as Junaid & Umar took 2 wickets each while as M. Shafi and Ishfaq took 1 wickets each.

Star Palhallan scored only 164 runs & won the match.
Later Junaid was awarded man of the match for his all-round performance.
