When we talk about a good cricketer, three things come to our mind: fitness, flamboyance and performance- well, when one has all three but still doesn’t get an opportunity, it’s simply called injustice.
Nasir Lone, an all-rounder who has been around for a while, hasn’t played even a single state-level match this year in spite of doing well in whatever pre-national chance provided to him. Recently, he was named in the 25-member T20 probables, however, he found no place in either senior team or U-23 One-day squad.
Ignoring him from both the teams has lately given rise to the questions over selection process as people consider it ‘killing a real talent’,
“Nasir is one of the best young all-rounders I have seen in the Valley. It’s really disappointing that he hasn’t been given even a single chance in any of teams,” a former cricketer said.
“If a player like him has no place, then it means people at helm are killing real talent,” he added.
Meanwhile, with still four matches to go for U-23 side in the One-day tourney, Nasir Lone might be included in team as they have lost all the four matches thus far.
