National Games: 7 medals in Wushu confirmed for J&K

Srinagar: The 38th National Games are going on in Uttarakhandh with Wushu athletes confirming seven medals for J&K by securing semifinal spots in various categories.

On Thursday, quaterfinal fights were held in which seven J&K Wushu athletes qualified for the semifinals, making sure a medal for J&K.

The medalist’s are Arjun, Saleem Kumar, Surya Bhanu Partap Singh, Ishant singh, Rohan, Kamraan and Ayeera Chisti, statement said.
“All the players will fight on Friday for the silver medal. Vijay Saraf (President) Ms Bhavneet (General secretary) and all the office bearers congratulated the medalist’s,” statement said.

In the previous 03 editions, wushu remained the highest medal winner for the UT J&k in the games.
Dronacharya Kuldeep Handoo congratulated the medalist’s and thanked J&K sports council for the immense support which is paving results in the games and other national and international events
