Young all-rounder Nasir Lone topped the Yo-Yo Test while pacer Tahir Bhat finished second as JKCA held the fitness test for its senior men probables at GGM Science College Ground, Jammu on Saturday.
Lone, who was recently selected for NCA’s top all-rounders camp, notched up a score of 17.6. Fast-bowler Tahir Bhat scored 17.4 while the spinner Vanshaj Sharma finished at 17.2.
A total of 30 players were shortlisted for this fitness camp, which concluded today. Now, these players have been distributed into two teams and will play multi-day trial matches from 07th August.
What is Yo-Yo Test?
The Yo-Yo test is a running aerobic fitness test that involves running between two sets of cones that are 20 metres apart (incidentally the length of a cricket pitch).
Once the beep is sounded, a player has to reach the cone on the other side at the next beep. The player then has to return to the initial cone before the third beep sounds. Once the return trip is done, it marks the completion of a shuttle.
