Muheet Shabir set to join ISL side Punjab FC

Srinagar: In another remarkable news for the Kashmir football fans, Real Kashmir FC’s highly talented goalkeeper Muheet Shabir is all set to join Indian Super League (ISL) side Roundglass Punjab FC next season.

The young talented goalkeeper from Srinagar had an exceptional season in I-League 2023-24 with Real Kashmir FC and has been offered a multi-year contract by Punjab FC for the ISL.

Though Muheet was robbed off the best goalkeeper award in I-League, but his stats put him at the top of the best goalkeepers list this season in League. He has highest number of clean sheets and saves in I-League 2023-24.

Son of the former J&K golakeeper Bilal Ahmad, Muheet has been groomed from early age and has been associated witj various teams over the years. He was part of Kerala Blasters FC Youth sides, A Team and main team over the years before joining Real Kashmir FC.

Muheet is second player from Real Kashmir FC’s side this season who has been offered contract in ISL. Real Kashmir FC is proving out to be a gateway for Kashmir footballers into ISL and other competitions. Real Kashmir FC has been providing local players chance to showcase their talent at highest level and get into the eyes of National and ISL selectors.
Before Muheet, captain Muhammad Hammad signed the multi-year contract with ISL side Odhisa FC.
