Mohsin, Arafat win 2 bronze medals for J&K in 33rd National Canoe Championship

Srinagar: The products of WaterSports centre Nehru Park, Mohsin and Arafat on Monday bagged two bronze medals for the J&K in the 33rd Canoe Sprint National Championship at Lower Lake, Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh.
The championship is being organised by Indian Kayaking and Canoeing Association and in it 25 State, Union Territory teams are participating


Mohsin and Arafat bagged two bronze medals for J&K bagged in K2 sub-junior 500 metre category and K2 junior 500 metre category. By bagging bronze medals , the team of Mohsin and Arafat have qualified for the upcoming Khelo India Youth Games.


Both Mohsin and Arafat who compete in team event of K2 have been training in J&K Sports Council Watersports Centre Nehru Park under coach Bilquis Mir. They have been groomed and nurtured at the centre by Bilquis and are now performing at highest level.
