Srinagar : Mallinson girl’s team will clash with Government Women’s College MA Road, Srinagar in the final of the Women’s football championship.
In the event, 10 teams are participating and that hailed from Ganderbal District, Presentation Convent School, and some teams from private clubs in Srinagar.
According to football officials the initiative is basically a step forward to groom girl footballer’s in Kashmir.
Meanwhile, the sports activities across the state Jammu and Kashmir have gained momentum. State Sports Council with sports associations affiliated with it has all initiated the process of organizing sports activities across the state. However, organizing of the girl’s football tournament is first major sports activity held in Srinagar after July 7 incident.
