Major League: Parvez Rasool scores 72* as BSC end Day 1 on 195/6

Srinagar: Continuing his brilliant form in the ongoing Major League Tournament-Sri Lanka, star cricketer of J&K, Parvez Rasool slammed unbeaten 72 runs for Badureliya Sports Club (BSC) against Tamil Union at Group B, Colombo on Friday.

While all the Badureliya batters struggled, Parvez Rasool as fluent as he has been all season in the league. He thrives under tough conditions and on Friday played a brilliant knock for his side.

At the end of Day 1 play, Badureliya were 195/6 in 47.4 overs.Parvez Rasool was still batting in the middle on 72 from 80 balls in which he has smashed six boundaries and two sixes.

Ayana Siriwardhana was batting at other end on 32. Parvez will like to continue in same manner on Day 2 of the match and would be hoping to notch up another first class century.

Parvez Rasool who has been overlooked by J&K Cricket Association has been in brilliant form with both bat and ball in Sri Lankan tournament. He has been piling up runs and taking plenty of wickets.
