Last season, Leicester City shocked the English top flight by winning the title. Will this season see them shocking Europe with a UCL win?
Claudio Ranieri’s men won their second straight UEFA Champions League game, their first ever at King Power Stadium, thanks to a well-placed header by Islam Slimani. The Foxes now lead Group G with six points, and have breezed past their two opponents in the continental competition.
But this win will go down in the tournament’s history for another reason, as Leicester City became the only EPL club to win their first two games in the UEFA Champions League during their debut campaign.
We know it’s still early in the season to determine how Leicester City’s UCL campaign will end, but history shows us anything can happen when Ranieri & Co. commit themselves to a task.
