Kashmir University starts activity with staff cricket match

Srinagar: The Directorate of Physical Education and Sports, University of Kashmir kick started its activities in the campus by organising a cricket match of employees of Kashmir University and Skuast-K.

The match was inaugurated by Prof. Nisar Ahmad Rather, Director, Physical Education and Sports, university of Kashmir. Speaking on the occasion he appreciated the concept of organising the match for employees which is rarety these days. While welcoming the guest team (Skuast-K) he assured every possible support from Directorate in organising such types of events in future.

After winning the toss Kashmir university scored a huge total of 197 runs in alloted 25 overs riding on performances of Samiullah ,Shahnawaz, Nadeem Dar who scored 52,46,32 runs respectively. Chasing a steep target Skuast-k were dealt with early blows with wickets falling at regular intervals with arif playing a lone hand of 65 runs.they managed to score 142 runs only.For Kashmir university Nadeem Dar and Ajaz Khan took 3 wickets each.Kashmir university won the match by 55 runs.
