J&K’s Abid Mushtaq named in North Zone squad for Duleep Trophy

Left-arm spin all-rounder Abid Mushtaq was on Thursday named in North Zone team for the upcoming Duleep Trophy.

The premier tournament will be held in Bengaluru from June 28 with six zonal teams taking part.

Abid is the only J&K player in the 15-member squad, thanks to his superb numbers in last season’s Ranji Trophy.

In a notification, the Haryana Cricket Association said:

“The North Zone Selection Committee met on 15 June 2023 at the Gurgaon Cricket Ground, Sultanpur, Gurugram to select the squad for the North Zone to participate in the Duleep Trophy to be held from 28th June to 16″ of July 2023 and selected the following players:

Prabhsimran Singh (WK)

Prashant Chopra

Dhruv Shorey

Ankit Kalsi

Mandeep Singh (C)

Ankit Kumar

Pulkit Narang

Nishant Sindhu

Manan Vohra

Jayant Yadav
