Abdul Samad-led Team C registered a dominant win over Auqib Nabi’s Team B in the JKCA T20 trial matches at Sher-e-Kashmir Stadium on Tuesday. A disciplined bowling performance followed by a blazing knock from Arya Thakur sealed the deal for Team C in under 12 overs.
Batting first, Team B was bundled out for just 100 runs, with only Yawar Hasan managing a contribution of around 20 runs. Team C’s bowlers were relentless, with Zubair Pandith leading the charge with three wickets. Irfan Ul Haq, Abdul Samad, and Waseem Bashir picked up two wickets each, dismantling Team B’s batting lineup.
Chasing a modest target, Team C made light work of the total. Arya Thakur was the star with the bat, scoring a fluent 50-plus and taking his team home in just around 12 overs. For Team B, Auqib Nabi picked up two wickets, but it wasn’t enough to derail the chase.
