Jammu: Yawar Hassan and Fazil Rashid struck unbeaten fifties on Saturday as Team Green defeated Team Red in the first trial match for seniors at GGM Science College Ground, here.
Yawar remained unbeaten on 81 while Fazil also returned unconquered on 52. Musaif Ajaz too hit 48 runs before being retired out.
Earlier, batting first, Team Red scored 248 runs in the allotted 50 overs. Abid Mushtaq was the highest run-getter, scoring 54 while Usaid made 40. Zaman Qayoom (35) and Abdul Samad (34) also scored cameos.
For Team Green, Irfan Ul Haq picked up 4 while as Taizeem Tak scalped 3 wickets.
In reply, Team Green chased down the total with ease in just 43 overs. Yawar, Fazil and Musaif were the star performers with the bat for them. While for Team Red, Auqib Nabi, Rohit Sharma and Ritik scalped a wicket each.
