JKCA Senior Multi-Days: Ahmad Banday scores fifty, Yasir Bhat bags three wickets

Opening batter Ahmad Banday scored a fifty while leg-spinner Yasir Bhat bagged three wickets as the match between JKCA B1 and B3 hangs in balance in the ongoing Senior Men’s Multi-Day Tournament at Sher-e-Kashmir Cricket Stadium Sonawar on Friday.

Earlier, winning the toss and batting first, JKCA B3 scored 202 in 61.3 overs in their first innings. Ahmad Banday, who was searching for his form, found it today and scored 58 runs off 74 balls, studded with 8 boundaries and one six.

Zaman Qayoom, Zaid Mohammad and Asif Khan contributed 39, 38 and 30 runs to the total, respectively.

For JKCA B1, Yasir Bhat was the pick of the bowlers, taking 3 wickets by conceding 27 runs in his 9.3 overs, while Imtiyaz Ganie and Wasim Bashir bagged 2 wickets each.

In reply, JKCA B1 were 56/2 in 11 overs at the draw of stumps on day one today. Jiyaad Magray was unbeaten on power-packed 36 runs, while Fazil Rashid was at the crease on 2 runs.

Mohammad Shahdad (15) and Sheikh Usaid (02) were the batsmen sent back to the pavilion.

For JKCA B3, Mohammad Mudhasir and Umar Nazir claimed one wicket each.

The match was officiated by Hilal Mir and Faizan Fayaz as the Umpires, while Azmin Farooq and Umar Wani were the scorers.
