JKCA retains same set of selectors for upcoming season despite teams’ poor performances

Jammu and Kashmir Cricket Association (JKCA) has retained the same selectors for both junior and senior men’s categories despite poor performances by all teams last season.

All of JKCA’s teams in age groups and senior categories failed miserably in the previous domestic season, mostly due to bizarre selections.

With the new season approaching, it was logically expected that there would be changes in the selection committee but continuing its norm, JKCA has made no changes and stuck with the same bunch.

It has also led to questions on the role of the recently-appointed CAC (Cricket Advisory Committee) comprising Abdul Qayoom and Meenu Slathia since they supposedly have the power to appoint selectors.

Vidya Bhaskar (Chairman), Dhruv Mahajan, Vijay Sharma and Arshad Bhat are the four selectors appointed for senior men’s (U-23 and Senior) while Arun Sharma (Chairman), Jagtar Singh and Vikrant Taggar have been given the charge of juniors (U-16 and U-19).
