JKCA announces Talent Hunt for Women Cricketers across Jammu and Kashmir

The Jammu & Kashmir Cricket Association (JKCA) has announced a Talent Hunt for Women 2026 aimed at identifying promising female cricketers across the Union Territory for the 2026–27 domestic season.

According to an official notice issued by the association, the trials will be conducted centrally in Srinagar and Jammu later this month and early April. The initiative is open to players from all age groups, with selections divided into junior and senior categories.

Trial schedule

For the Kashmir region, trials will be held at the Sher-i-Kashmir Cricket Stadium in Srinagar from March 23 to March 25, 2026.

For the Jammu region, the trials will take place at the Hostel Ground in Jammu from March 31 to April 2, 2026.

Age-group categories

The trials will be conducted in two age categories:

  • Junior Age Group: Players born between September 1, 2007 and August 31, 2014
  • Senior Age Group: Players born on or before August 31, 2007

Trial dates by category

For the junior category, trials in Srinagar will be held on March 23 and 24, while the Jammu trials will take place on March 31 and April 1.

The senior category trials are scheduled for March 25 in Srinagar and April 2 in Jammu.

Trial matches

Players shortlisted by selectors during the initial trials will be invited to participate in trial matches. These matches will be conducted:

  • Srinagar: March 26 to March 28
  • Jammu: April 3 to April 5

The matches will serve as the final stage of evaluation before selections for the upcoming domestic season squads.

Documents required

Players attending the trials must carry the following documents:

  • Digitised Date of Birth certificate with QR code (mandatory)
  • PVC Aadhaar card with updated photograph or passport
  • Mark sheets of the previous three years (to be submitted subsequently)
  • PAN card

Participants are required to bring both original documents and photocopies, which will be verified before they are allowed to take part in the trials.
