The Jammu & Kashmir Cricket Association (JKCA) has announced the Talent Hunt 2026 for Sub-Junior (U16) and Junior Boys (U19), aimed at identifying promising young cricketers across the Union Territory for the domestic pathway.
According to the official notification, trials will be conducted in both Kashmir and Jammu divisions, with venues set at the Sher-i-Kashmir Cricket Stadium, Srinagar, and Hostel Ground, Jammu.

While the venues have been finalised, trial dates will be announced shortly, with the association expected to release a detailed schedule in the coming days.
Registration process
Interested players will be required to download and fill out the registration form (download below). The duly filled form must be submitted at the time of trials along with the necessary documents.
Age categories
The talent hunt will be conducted across two age groups:
- Sub-Junior Category (Born on or after 01-09-2010 but before 31-08-2013)
- Junior Category (Born on or after 01-09-2007)
Players must meet the age eligibility criteria specified by JKCA, with verification to be conducted prior to participation.
Selection process
The selection process will begin with open trials, following which shortlisted players will be invited for trial matches—the final stage before squad selection.
Selected players are likely to be considered for JKCA’s age-group teams in domestic competitions under the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI).
Documents required
Participants must carry:
- Date of Birth certificate (preferably digitised with QR code)
- Aadhaar card or passport
- Supporting documents for verification
Both originals and photocopies will be required at the venue.
