JKCA announces Talent Hunt for U-16 & U-19 boys across Jammu and Kashmir

The Jammu & Kashmir Cricket Association (JKCA) has invited registrations for its Talent Hunt 2026 for Sub-Junior (U16) and Junior Boys (U19), with trials set to be conducted at a later date.

In an official notification, the association confirmed that trial dates will be announced separately, while interested players must complete the registration process within the stipulated deadline.

Registration deadline and process

Players are required to submit their application forms along with mandatory documents via email no later than April 1, 2026 (6:00 PM).

The registration form will be can be downloaded here, and must be duly filled before submission.

The association has made it clear that incomplete applications or those without required documents will be rejected.

Age eligibility criteria

The talent hunt will be conducted across two categories:

  • Sub-Junior Boys: Born on or after September 1, 2010 and before August 31, 2013
  • Junior Boys: Born on or after September 1, 2007

Documents required

Applicants must submit the following documents along with the registration form:

  • Digitised Date of Birth certificate with QR code
  • Updated PVC Aadhaar card with latest photograph
  • Mark sheets of the previous three years
  • Bonafide certificate
  • PAN card

Exemptions for existing players

JKCA has clarified that players who were part of the first fifteen of JKCA teams during the 2025–26 season are exempted from the talent hunt, as are those who have already been called for fitness camps in Srinagar and Jammu.

However, players who have moved into a higher age category will be required to participate in trials for the new group.

Trials to follow

The association will conduct on-ground trials in Srinagar and Jammu, with dates to be announced in due course.

The initiative is part of JKCA’s ongoing efforts to strengthen its grassroots structure and streamline the pathway for young cricketers aiming to represent the Union Territory in domestic competitions under the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI).
