Srinagar: J&K Sub-Junior Wushu team has bagged 16 Medals in the 24th Sub-Junior National Wushu championship at Tarn Taran (Punjab) from 1-6th December 2024.
In Sanda, Geenakshi Secured Gold medal
In Taolu Event, Arzath Wangoo and Modh Arman Malik secured Gold medals. The championship was organised by Punjab Wushu Association under the aegis of Wushu Association of India.
Kuldeep Handoo (Dronacharya Awardee) congratulated the Sub-Junior Wushu team for the excellent performance in the 24th Sub-Junior Wushu championship and thanked J&K Sports Council for the immense support, especially Nuzhat Gul for providing all facilities to this combat sports. recently Wushu equipments were procured from apprived agency of International Wushu federation for Wushu sports , which played a pivotal role for excelling in National and International championships.

Vijay Saraf President and Bhavneet General Secretary congratulated the team for the outstanding performance in the championship and they both wished the team all the best for the future events. They also thanked J&K Sports council for the great support and providing all facilities to wushu players,enabling them to bring name and fame for the UT J&K at the National and International events.
