J&K will play against Chattisgarh and Baroda in the upcoming Buchi Babu Invitational Cricket Tournament.
The multi-day tourney begins on August 15 and will be played across venues in Tamil Nadu. J&K has been placed in the group alongside Chattisgarh and Baroda.
Paras Dogra, Himachal Pradesh batter who has been roped in as a guest player by JKCA, is likely to lead J&K. They will face Chattisgarh on August 15 in the first match and then lock horns with Baroda on August 21.
Earlier, KSW revealed the J&K squad for the historic tournament. Most of the squad is retained from last year’s Ranji Trophy. However, a few top players like Nasir Lone, Henan Malik, Tahir Bhat and others have been dropped without any explanation.
Several questions are being asked about the roping in of 39-year-old Paras Dogra as people believe this wasn’t required since J&K has enough local talent.
