J&K SnowShoe Association Welcomes Appointment of Shahid Iqbal Choudhary as Commissioner Secretary Sports

Srinagar: The J&K SnowShoe Association has warmly welcomed the appointment of seasoned IAS officer Shahid Iqbal Choudhary as the new Commissioner Secretary of the Youth Services and Sports Department, Jammu & Kashmir.

President of the Association, Tariq Ghani, congratulated Shahid Iqbal Choudhary on assuming charge and termed his appointment as a significant step towards strengthening youth and sports development in the Union Territory.

The J&K Government on Friday issued orders for several administrative transfers, which included the transfer of Yasha Mudgal from the Youth Services and Sports Department, with Shahid Iqbal Choudhary appointed as the new Commissioner Secretary of the department.

A highly experienced and dynamic administrator, Shahid Iqbal Choudhary has served in various key positions across the administration. This will be his first tenure heading the Sports Department.

Terming his appointment as a positive development for the youth, Tariq Ghani said, “Shahid Iqbal Choudhary is a dynamic officer who has always maintained close connections with the youth and the public. With the Sports Department being directly associated with young people, I am confident that he can bring remarkable improvements. He is the right person for this responsibility and will surely take sports in J&K to new heights.”

Association Vice President Arif Laigaroo also extended his congratulations and best wishes to the newly appointed Commissioner Secretary.

“He has vast administrative experience and a strong commitment to public service. I am confident that under his leadership, the Youth Services and Sports Department will achieve new milestones, and the sporting ecosystem of J&K will grow stronger,” Arif said.
