Srinagar, November 28: The 2-day J&K level Carrom championship concluded Institute of Hotel Management Rajbagh Srinagar on Sunday, November 28.
Junaid Matoo Mayor Srinagar , Rauf Tramboo ( Ex Member J&K Sports Council), Mudasir Khan (President J&K Carrom Association), Adil Rashid Shah General Secretary J&K Carrom Association) distributed the awards, certificates among the winners.
Adil Rashid Shah (General Secretary Jammu & Kashmir Carrom Association in his welcome speach, welcomed Mayor Srinagar Junaid Matoo, Rauf Tramboo, Mudasir Khan, Joint Secretary Adfar Mairaj, Treasurer Saqib, Arif Sultan and Dawar Rashid and all the office bearers of the association.
On the occasion Adil thanked his colleagues, senior players and all the players, officials for making this tournament a big success.
“We organised this UT level championship to boost the morale of sports and playing carrom among the novices. In this Championship around 110 participants participated from all over J&K UT. Players showed tremendous & brilliant presentation on boards, I wish them good luck and in this championship 88 matches were played in Junior & Senior category in both boys n girls section respectively,” Adil said.
“I want to convey this message to all the parents & interested players that we have huge scope in this game but when we take this game seriously, we have to show our talent at UT level than after at national level championship,” he said.
