The match winning effort by Pakistan pacer Wahab Riaz with a broken finger against Afghanistan in the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 match has won praise from one and all.
Pakistan beat Afghanistan in thrilling last over finish on June 29 with Wahab Riaz scoring crucial match winning knock of 15 runs from 9 balls in which he hit 1 six and 1 four. In bowling he had taken 2 wickets.
He did this despite having fracture in the finger of his non bowling hand..
For his effort he was praised by one and leading the praise was former Team India all rounder Irfan Pathan.
“Playing with a fracture in his non bowling arm…You gotta admire @WahabViki and his brilliant effort for his team,” tweeted Irfan Pathan.

Even the man of the moment himself Imad Wasin praised Wahab for his effort and said, “Credit to Wahab Riaz who played the match with a broken finger and who hit the crucial 6 and 4”.
