Abu Dhabi: The IPL 2026 auction, held in Abu Dhabi, delivered major surprises, record-breaking deals, and a strong statement from uncapped Indian players. While Australian all-rounder Cameron Green emerged as the most expensive buy at ₹25.20 crore, it was domestic talent that stole the spotlight.
Uncapped Indians Prashant Veer and Kartik Sharma became the joint-most expensive uncapped players in IPL history, fetching ₹14.20 crore each from Chennai Super Kings (CSK). Overall, the 10 IPL franchises spent ₹215.45 crore to fill 77 slots, including 29 overseas players.
