Srinagar, October 16: Srinagar Blues Friday crushed Bandipora in the ongoing inter-district tourney at Sher-e-Kashmir Stadium, courtesy centuries by Umar Nissar and Zaid.
Umar smashed unbeaten 134 runs while Zaid struck 140 runs without getting dismissed as the duo sitiched an over 250-run partnership to lead hosts to another win.
Earlier, batting first, Srinagar lost an early wicket. However, the duo of Umar, who had also scored a ton in the first match of this tourney, and Zaid played brilliantly as they kept the scorecard ticking, leaving opposition in shatters.
They started off slowly but changed gears in the last ten overs to help their team post a big total of 289 runs in the given 40 overs.
In reply, Bandipora openers although started slowly, made sure to not let hosts’ bowlers take over. However, once they were sent back, the batting fully collapsed.
None of batsmen showed resistance, hence they were rattled out on meagre 84 runs, rewarding Srinagar a mammoth win of 205 runs.
In bowling department, Waseem Raza once again was the wrecker-in-chief, taking a four-wicket-haul.
