Indian veteran VVS Laxman praises Kashmiri para cricketer

Srinagar, May 30: Former Indian veteran cricketer, VVS Laxman, Saturday hailed Kashmiri para cricketer, Amir Hussain, who plays cricket despite having lost both his arms.

Laxman, who is also the coach of Sunrisers Hyderabad, an Indian Premier League franchise, said people like Amir are inspiring, especially in tough times likes these; referring to Coronavirus outbreak.

Amir, a passionate cricketer, lost his both arms in an accident at the age of eight. However, the Anantnag-born didn’t lose hope and chased his dream of becoming a cricketer.

Amir, who holds bat in his neck and bowls with his feet, represented J&K at several national para championships, presenting a great example of determination.

Laxman, this morning, took to Twitter, sharing a video of Amir, where he is seen practicing, and said,

“If the fire in your heart is strong enough, it will burn away any obstacles that come your way. Amir proves it so beautifully through this incredible video,so inspiring in these challenging times. Where there is a will, there is a way !”
