Srinagar: After playing six back to back away matches, Real Kashmir FC is set to resume its home season in the I-League as they take in Indian Arrows at Synthetic Turf Stadium TRC ground here on Monday at 2 PM.
Having got mixed results in its long away journey, Real Kashmir FC would be hoping to set things in motion on Monday on their return to home turf with a win against Indian Arrows. The youngsters comprising Indian Arrows is developmental side of All India Football Federation (AIFF) in the I-League but they have surprised many teams this season so far. They play well and are high on energy to counter any big team.
On the points table Real Kashmir FC after having played 11 matches are placed at eight positions while as Arrows are at bottom of the table at 11 place. With only nine games to play, winning title almost away from Real Kashmir FC hands as Mohun Bagan is well placed at the top and Kashmir side is far behind. Bagan is at number one position with has 32 points while as Real Kashmir FC has got only 12. The only target from here on now for Real Kashmir FC seem to be finish as high as possible on the points table and do well in the remaining matches. Last season they finished at third place in the league.
In the pre-match press conference Real Kashmir FC coach David Roberston alongwith player Mason Roberston said that they are focused on to do well in the reminder of the season.
“Indian Arrows is good side and they can surprise any team on the given day. They don’t have fear of winning and losing and that makes them a dangerous side. We would like stay focused and get back with full three points from the game. It is always good to be back home and play in front of your home fans,” coach said.
