Heavy Duty Club Jawahar Nagar is back; new Look inaugurated

Srinagar: After a wait of more than 7-years, Kashmir’s most favorite and Sought after health club, Heavy Duty Health Club, Jawahar Nagar Srinagar is back with totally new look and hi-tech equipment for the health enthusiasts of valley.

The refurbished and equipped with latest imported state of the art gymnasium equipment, the Heavy Duty Health Club by Irfan Ali was inaugurated on Sunday by Irfan Ali’s father which was emotional moment for bodybuilding and powerlifting legend of Kashmir. To witness the moment, large number of well known faces from the Bodybuilding, Powerlifting, weightlifting and other different walks of life had gathered at the facility.

Before halting its operation in 2017-18, Heavy Duty Health Club Jawahar Nagar was the most favorite go to place for the health enthusiast of the Srinagar city and its outskirts. Inspired from the well known philosophy of High Intensity Training of Mike Metnzer, the first health centre with the name of Heavy Duty was opened in Kashmir by Irfan Ali in 1990’s in Downtown Srinagar’s Gojwara area and after that its second branch in Bar Bar Shah Srinagar with later in mid 2000’s shifting focus to Jawahar Nagar

In Bodybuilding and fitness circles of Kashmir, Heavy Duty is a well known name with Irfan Ali considered as a legend.

“For any son, the moments like this to see your father inaugurating your dream project becomes life time memory. I am happy to see this project finally getting started as I alongwith my son have put in lot of blood and sweat into this project to make it a reality,” Irfan Ali said.

“I am overwhelmed with the love shown by all the well wishers who came today and also with the response we have already received in advance bookings. I never had doubt about the response and knew that my loyal members would be waiting for this moment,” he said.

A well known bodybuilder Khalid said that, there is no match for Heavy Duty in comparison to other health centers across Kashmir.

“It is the name that matters, It is the name that runs it and everyone who is associated with fitness in Kashmir know what they are about to experience in Heavy Duty Health Club,” Khalid said.
