Srinagar: Team India skipper Rohit Sharma on Sunday said that he is happy to see pace spearhead Jasprit Bumrah back in team after injury.
Jasprit Bumrah who missed Asia Cup 2022 due to injury is set to take part in the three-match T20I series against Australia from September 20 onwards.
The first match will take place at the PCA Stadium in Mohali on Tuesday.
“Bumrah is a very important player. The way he has performed over the last few years has been fantastic. He is an attacking bowler and if such a bowler isn’t a part of the team, it doesn’t go well for the team,” Rohit Sharma said during press conference.
“Good to have Bumrah back and I hope he stays fit and bowls as fast as he can, which he normally does,” he added.
