GDC Pulwama lifts Inter-College Kabaddi Rolling trophy title.Pic/KSW
Pulwama, Mar 18: GDC Pulwama lifted the Inter College Kabaddi Rolling Trophy defeating GDC Sopore in the final played at GDC Pulwama on March 18 by 3 points.
GDC Pulwama scored 40 points while as GDC Sopore scored 37 points. The match was witnessed by large number of spectators.
Professor Farooq Ahmad Andrabi principal GDC Pulwama was chief guest on the occasion and he congratulated all the participants in general and winners in particular. Prof. Andrabi impressed upon the students to actively participate in sports as it is good for health.
Dr Mushtaq Ah Malik, Prof AM Shah,DrTanveer Habib,Dr Mohd Shafi, Dr Nisar Ahmad ,Dr Mohd Abbas, Dr Showkat Ali, Prof Hamidullah Ghaniee, Dr Mohd Amin, Prof Tanvir Ah zoye, Prof Arshid Rasool and Prof Muneer Ahmad were guests of honour.
The tournament was hosted by GDC Pulwama and 21 teams took part in it.
All the matches were presided over by Dr Faisal S Hayyat, PTI of the College and Convenor sports board. Ex J&K Parvaz Ahmad Reshi was the main referee for all the matches and Bilal Ahad and Parvez were officials.
The tournament at GDC Pulwama was part of sports festival for Kashmir Division colleges sponsored by Department of Higher education, Jammu and Kashmir.
